  24.     Call me old-fashioned (maybe just old), but I haven't had  
  25. the time for "secret codes" for several years now.  I'm quite  
  26. certain I could locate the decoding algorithm for base 64 encoding,  
  27. but I usually feel a wee bit rushed during my day.  Now if there's  
  28. a perfectly good reason why base 64 is preferable for explaining  
  29. certain concepts, then by all means, let's use it.  Maybe I should  
  30. have been lecturing in base 64 all those years.  Hmm.  There's a  
  31. thought.  If these messages are meant for everyone on the user  
  32. group, why don't we make them as easy as possible to read?  If  
  33. someone wants to form a special sub-group for secret messages, that  
  34. should be no problem.
